The EO That Establishes An SS In The United States
Why aren't we talking about the plans for a paramilitary organization that infiltrates every state of the Union?

As I sit in the hush of the predawn light, glowing off the blanket of freshly fallen snow, I contemplate the words I’ve heard and read over the past few days…
..the vicious and vile rhetoric from the new commander in chief…
..the omnipresent (in my home) words of a prophet, poet, and healer of worlds that came as a beacon of light during the darkness of the Jim Crow era, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., whose decades-old speeches and letters speak just as clearly to our society today as they did all those years ago…
..the gentle, wise guidance of a shepherd from the National Cathedral during our National Prayer Service, and her steel bravery to issue forth those words directly in the face of the leader of a potentially devastating and ruinous regime.
Words are my game, right? A purveyor of prose, a navigator of narrative, and yet in these past few days, I have found myself without them.
In mute desperation I have watched the nation I personally fought for under the US Navy flag on her steel-decked aircraft carrier, a nation my grandfather fought for in trenches in France, that my ancestors fought for in bloody skirmishes with redcoats, stumble to its knees under the weight of this cloak of an intentional, targeted, nearly century-long propaganda campaign.
This campaign has told us that we are a “Christian” nation, even when that presents almost exclusively as hatred and division, which aren’t Christ-like at all, and that counters nearly every bit of historic evidence left by our founding fathers (many of whom were not even Christians themselves).
This campaign has told us that we are the greatest nation, even when our lived experiences of suffering and struggling are exposed in stark comparison to the lives of relative comfort of Europeans and even Chinese, who have robust social safety nets and a higher base quality of life than most of us can even imagine.
This campaign has told us that there is only one acceptable way of being to be truly “American”: white, straight, and Christian, even when history, sociology, psychology, and simple reality remind us daily that this is far from the true radiance and complex brilliance of the human experience within our vast and diverse nation.
So why are my words stuck?
Probably because so many of them were used in a desperate attempt to convince and sway voters in the years and months leading up to this election, an effort that yielded no success. When the election went through, farce though it may be, the results rocked me to my core and made me see many of my fellow Americans in a different light. Suspect, even.
For I harbor one of the state’s enemies, a person born with a deep, inner secret that it took many years for him to understand and even more for him to share with us. Haircuts and clothing changes were nothing compared to the unique and specific pain of being bullied and physically assaulted after being made a public target by advantageous politicians who saw an opportunity to use an infinitesimal percent of the American population as a Trojan horse to jam an entire Christian Nationalist agenda down our throats.
And, sadly, it worked.
We saw “friends” post crass and cruel “jokes” on social media, knowing our family member, and then seem confused when we ended our relationship with them over it. We saw people we thought of as good and decent and moral people, purportedly people of God, become bloodthirsty for vengeance against people who have never harmed them. People like my son, born into a type of human existence little-understood but widely documented throughout written history. And people who happened to be born elsewhere and came here to work and improve their personal life journeys and those of their families, those who toil in fields and factories, kitchens and laundries, doing the uncomfortable, dirty, messy work most Americans shun.
A classic propaganda campaign of “us” vs. “them”.
And many Americans fell for it, hook, line, and sinker. So many Americans.
So my words have been mired in this deep, thick disappointment, horror, and fear. It was also uncertainty, as we did not yet know the full scope of what was to come. Until his first Executive Orders were revealed, none of us knew what to expect or what we were dealing with.
Now we know.
As I examined several of the Executive Orders last night, I was struck by the militaristic verbiage and structure of these plans: establishing entire departments, committees, and positions outside the traditional structure of our existing government. Positions given vast authority, even over existing local law enforcement.
And in nearly every single one, a reminder that the power of the executive arm was absolute and not to be questioned.
Let’s get into what I find arguably the most concerning and problematic of the Executive Orders, and one on which I’ve seen startlingly little discourse: ‘PROTECTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AGAINST INVASION’.
The EO begins, predictably, with verbiage describing a “flood” of illegal immigrants detailing the various threats they pose to the American people.
The same rhetoric, beat louder and faster, convincing Americans that the majority of our immigrants are terrorists, spies, and criminals.
Let’s read on: next, a complete and utter denunciation and revocation of the previous administration’s carefully considered, advised, and composed Executive Orders which not only addressed the current immigration situation within the borders of the United States but also the global climate and conditions that led to a surge in migrants and refugees:
After having “cleaned house” of any and all guidance from previous administrations, how does he plan to move forward?
By establishing an SS.
‘Oh no’, you say, ‘not another Nazi alarmist.’
Not to get too colloquial here, but bro…. trust me on this. Let’s break it down.
To review history for anyone who hasn’t had the same obsession with reading, viewing, and listening to historical nonfiction for the greater part of their lives, the SS, or Schutzstaffel, was a paramilitary state-within-a-state that ultimately held power over every function of the German government by the late 1930’s. Here’s how Brittanica defines the organization:
“When Hitler, with SS help, purged the SA in 1934 and reduced it to political impotence, the SS became an independent group responsible, via Himmler, to Hitler alone. Between 1934 and 1936 Himmler and his chief adjutant, Reinhard Heydrich, consolidated SS strength by gaining control of all of Germany’s police forces and expanding their organization’s responsibilities and activities. At the same time, special military SS units were trained and equipped along the lines of the regular army. By 1939 the SS, now numbering about 250,000 men, had become a massive and labyrinthian bureaucracy.”1
Let’s describe the organization in a little more clear terms:
“An SS intelligence and security service was established in 1931 and headed by Reinhard Heydrich in order to manage the security police forces of the Nazi Party and the German State. The Nazi Party Police force was called the Sicherheitsdienst, which simply meant ‘Security Service’ and was known as the ‘SD’.
The duties of the State Security Police (Sicherheitspolizei or ‘Sipo’) and the ordinary Criminal Police (Kriminalpolizei or Kripo) were assumed by the SS, but it wasn’t until 1939 that the 600-strong Political Police (Geheime-Staatspolizei, or Gestapo) was assimilated into the SS when Himmler replaced Göring as its overall Commander, amalgamating all three Police Forces into a new SS Department called the Reich central Security Office (Reichssicherheitshauptamt or RSHA).”2
Establishment of Federally Controlled Paramilitary Within Each State
Now that we’ve studied a little history, let’s connect these dots.
In this Executive Order, the returning President lays out the framework for a suspiciously familiar organization. Directly from the EO:
In case you cannot view the above photo, here is the verbiage of Section 6 (buried far down the page, embedded deep in the Executive Order):
“Sec. 6. Federal Homeland Security Task Forces. (a) The Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall take all appropriate action to jointly establish Homeland Security Task Forces (HSTFs) in all States nationwide.
(b) The composition of each HSTF shall be subject to the direction of the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security, but shall include representation from any other Federal agencies with law enforcement officers, or agencies with the ability to provide logistics, intelligence, and operational support to the HSTFs, and shall also include representation from relevant State and local law enforcement agencies. The heads of all Federal agencies shall take all appropriate action to provide support to the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security to ensure that the HSTFs fulfill the objectives in subsection (c) of this section, and any other lawful purpose that fulfills the policy objectives of this order.
(c) The objective of each HSTF is to end the presence of criminal cartels, foreign gangs, and transnational criminal organizations throughout the United States, dismantle cross-border human smuggling and trafficking networks, end the scourge of human smuggling and trafficking, with a particular focus on such offenses involving children, and ensure the use of all available law enforcement tools to faithfully execute the immigration laws of the United States.
(d) The Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall take all appropriate action to provide an operational command center to coordinate the activities of the HSTFs and provide such support as they may require, and shall also take all appropriate action to provide supervisory direction to their activities as may be required.”
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has been tapped for the position of Secretary of Homeland Security, and Pam Bondi for the position of Attorney General. Both are proven loyalists to the President.
Further, Pam Bondi is a lobbyist for the private prison complex. Let’s explore why that matters.
Establishment of Federal Detention Centers
Further into this same Executive Order, we find the order to build or commandeer “detention facilities”:
This Section gives sweeping power to the Department of Homeland Security to not only construct new “detention centers,” but to commandeer existing ones.
Did I mention that this administration has now reversed previous restrictions on private prisons?
“President Donald Trump made sweeping changes to the criminal justice system in his first hours in office, including replacing the Federal Bureau of Prisons director brought in under the Biden administration and ending former President Joe Biden's plan to phase out privately run federal prisons.”
“Trump's nominee for Attorney General Pam Bondi previously lobbied for the company, which Lisa Gilbert, co-president of Public Citizen, raised concerns about at a hearing last week.
Gilbert said other lobbyists have become attorney general, "but nowhere near the scope and scale of Ms. Bondi with 30 clients of her own in just the last five years and coming from a firm that represents such a broad swath of corporate America."
Gilbert took particular issue with The GEO Group, saying federal inspector general reviews have "been critical of prison management by GEO Group and other private prison companies, adding that The GEO Group stands to profit substantially if the Trump administration's new immigration detention and deportation policies result in filling empty or underutilized beds at its facilities."3
In a glaring display of end-stage capitalism at its ugliest, private prisons now stand to profit more than ever before on the incarceration of human beings; when enough Americans aren’t breaking existing laws at a sufficient rate to fill their beds, along comes a convenient plan to fill them with immigrants.
The connection is blatant; the incoming Attorney General being an actual lobbyist for private prisons is just further proof of this obvious corruption.
Targeting of Sanctuary Cities/Jurisdictions
In a brutal blow to states’ rights, Sec. 17 of this Executive Order implicitly targets self-proclaimed “sanctuary jurisdictions” with the threat of the withholding of federal funding.
Deliberately vague language of “Federal funds” does not specify which Federal funds we’re talking about, so the reader is left to assume they mean all. Medical, educational, social programs— what would a sanctuary do without access to any Federal funds? The further open-ended threat of criminal and civil action drives home the intent of this action. This is a brutal tactic to force the hand of cities and states whose own residents have voted and chosen to be sanctuary jurisdictions.
What happened to states’ rights?? When the states wanted to own human beings in chattel slavery, their rights were deemed so important it was worth engaging in secession and civil war. Now the states who have chosen to be considered sanctuary jurisdictions for migrants and refugees are faced with drastic and draconian threats, including potential imprisonment: “Further, the Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall evaluate and undertake any other lawful actions, criminal or civil, that they deem warranted based on any such jurisdiction’s practices that interfere with the enforcement of Federal law.”
As an aside, this lengthy Executive Order also explicitly threatens non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who work with the immigrant community with extensive audits, cessation of federal funding, and even “clawback or recoupment procedures of federal funds” as well as against organizations who do not comply with any and all directives.
To be clear, there are existing HSTF’s in the United States. The Department of Homeland Security was established in 2002 in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, and Texas eagerly jumped on the opportunity to establish an HSTF within the state. The organization has been rife with corruption and scandal, as well as a confusing chain-of-command that begs the question: who polices whom? In the entanglement of state and federal bureaucracies, confusion and disorder reigned supreme.
This executive order clears up confusion and establishes a clear chain of command, as well as decreeing the establishment of an HSTF in each and every state, and places at the head the loyalist Attorney General and Secretary of Homeland Security.
This will undoubtedly make the Patriot Act look like schoolyard rules.
This is the blueprint for the establishment of a uniquely American SS: an all-encompassing federal entity with a physical presence in every single state and with every other federal, state, and local agency at its full disposal, one with descript plans to establish and control detention centers, and one which answers solely to the President, Donald Trump.

He also pardoned 1500 loyalists (brownshirts)
