With the consistent stream of executive orders continuing to flow out of the White House…
I’m ever-grateful that Substack has dozens and dozens of brilliant analysts bring their A-game to break down and expose every bit of dirty deeds buried throughout them.
I am committed to avoiding redundancy as much as possible, so I’m going to link to some pieces that are covering several aspects of this regime. As for me, I found this one particular brief announcement underwhelming in its content but fascinating in its ramifications and what this reveals about this regime’s intentions.
The Presidential Proclamation in question technically consists of one sentence:
“President Donald Trump announced appointments to the White House Faith Office.”
What follows is a list of the three individuals named, each with a bio of varying length and depth.
Let’s examine these names and dive into why the third, a relatively-unknown baby-faced twenty-seven-year-old may be the most provocative, and sinister, name on the list.

The first two appointees in this proclamation come as no surprise: Paula White-Cain and Jennifer Korn have been involved with Trump’s brand of political religion for several years. Since White-Cain is a televangelist who preaches the prosperity gospel from her megachurch in Florida, her brand of “theology” aligns right with that of the Golden Calf himself.
Jennifer Korn is the obligatory Washington insider, having served in politics, from campaigns to committees, all the way back to the Bush-Cheney days. Her presence brings a weight and authority that balances the frivolous extremism of White-Cain.
The third, and final, appointee is where I find the deepest and most insidious ties, all behind the grinning baby face of Jackson Lane.
The most stacked resume in the room…
If you’re like me, you had to ponder, in an office with only three seats, who is this kid to command one-third of this committee? He’s young, twenty-seven, with a bachelors from far-right private college of Missouri Baptist University and then a resume that tells a tale all its own.
Let’s take a look, shall we?
During college, beginning in 2016, the kid with the public moniker of “young Christian operative” ‘knocked on doors’ for the campaigns of Jay Ashcroft (successful campaign for Secretary of State for Missouri, and who proudly called himself a Christian Nationalist), Andrew Koenig (successful campaign for State Senate for Missouri), Duane Smith (failed bid for State Senate in Oklahoma), Brad Boles (successful campaign for State Senate for Oklahoma), Alan Wilson (successful campaign for Attorney General of South Carolina), Rod Miller (failed bid for Congress in Wyoming, the ‘rogue cowboy’ who notably said just two weeks ago, “The legislature can set aside a few hundred-thousand acres in Wyoming for the malcontents and the ungovernable.”), Dan Borgmeyer (successful campaign for Mayor of St. Charles, MO), and Leeann Pitman (failed bid for State House).
With all that door knocking, when did the kid have time to study?! And not just in Missouri— he was jet-setting all over the nation, almost identically in alignment with his dad’s published plan for which seats in which counties in which states needed to be filled with “good Christian folk”.
Who is his daddy?
Jackson Lane’s father is David Lane of American Renewal Project (ARP), a man the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled an ‘extremist’ who receives most of his funding from The American Family Association, which the same organization categorizes as a hate group. A man who has made it his mission, literally, “to inspire the American church to embrace its role in the public square, breathing life into the highest expression of community and civic duty.”
The vision of his organization is chilling: “Every church in America having a pastor, elder, deacon, or congregant running for, or serving in, a local, state, or national office in 2026, 2028, 2030, and beyond. Church members are motivated en masse to turn out and vote for members of the congregations.”
In the elder Lane’s statement on the About Us page of the ARP’s website, this phrase was quite telling:
“We all know that politicians aren’t going to save America, Wall Street is not going to save America, even our military strength will not save America. If America is to be saved, Biblical values must be returned and embraced in the public square.”
These radicals will not rest until America is a full theocracy controlled by the Christian church.
And the chief radical’s eldest son is now at the President’s right hand.
Returning to Jackson’s resume, after this string of smaller campaigns (each aligning identically with his father’s plans), he served on the Trump Victory Campaign in 2020.
In 2021, he began with Victory Enterprises as Director of Field Operations (at 23 years old, if you’re keeping track). This organization self-describes as a “Republican-leaning political and corporate and communications firm in Davenport, Iowa,” and run by Steve Grubbs, “Internet and tech entrepreneur” (are we sensing a theme here in America with the tech entrepreneurs or what?!).
By 2022, he was the Director of Faith Mobilization at his father’s organization, the American Renewal Project.
2023 found the younger Lane the Executive Assistant to the Chairman of America’s Future, Inc.
What is America’s Future, Inc., and more importantly here, who is its chairman?
A deeper, darker chapter emerges…
The chairman is none other than the infamous former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. Remember him? He’s the 24th US National Security Advisor for the first 22 days of the first Trump administration. As seems to be the theme with the current regime, Flynn is a felon after having been caught in a series of communications with Russian agents and then lying about those relationships under oath. He became thick as thieves with Trump during his first administration and used those connections to ease his way into leadership with the nearly-defunct nonprofit organization America’s Future, Inc.
Much more active and prolific in the late 1940s through the 1960s, America’s Future, Inc. produced and distributed anti-Communist and heavily theocratic pamphlets and small newspapers. Barely $3M remained in their endowment when Flynn set his eyes, and wallet, upon the organization, immediately giving himself, and his siblings, salaries at the small organization, forcing it to quickly run in the red for the first time ever.
We’ll come back to that. Let’s get back to young Lane’s resume.
For two years, Lane been under the close tutelage of Flynn, who openly repeats and avers Q-Anon conspiracy theories and leverages every small bit of power and influence he has to grasp whatever foothold he can with anyone in power. Where Jackson Lane’s father is driven by the Bible, however misinterpreted and misapplied, his most recent boss has been driven solely by greed and lust for power.
Young Jackson has been stewing in that tainted broth. Just marinating. In God… and hate.
And in 2024, after all that marinating, he was ready for the big show: Donald Trump for President 2024, Inc. as Deputy Director of Faith Outreach, which segued directly into his current position as Special Assistant to the President.
He still has years before he even turns 30. He’s been steeped in Christian Nationalism since birth, molded, shaped, and programmed by his father and his dad’s powerful friends, and placed right in the White House to do their bidding.
And if you needed further evidence of this messy entanglement, let’s go back to honing in on the “work” disgraced former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn does with his position as Chairman at America’s Future, Inc.
As I mentioned, he arrived on scene and turned the organization’s work entirely towards supporting Trump and spreading wild Q-Anon propaganda. As he cut checks for himself and his family, the first paid staff at the organization ever, the coffers have run dry. In order to save both his seat and the organization, America’s Future, Inc. is hosting, today, February 18, 2025, the “Celebrate American Exceptionalism 2025” soiree, a fundraiser and celebrity gala at none other than Mar-a-Lago.
With ticket prices beginning at $5,000 per person, this evening’s event will host the President himself, Donald Trump, along with Russell Brand, Ted Nugent, Mike Tyson, Tyrus Murdoch, Colby Covington, former Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Eddie Griffin, and Kari Lake, with a Host Committee boasting names like: Tom Homan, Kid Rock, Mel Gibson, Congressman Mark Alford, Congressman Dale Strong, and Congressman Ryan Zinke.
Five grand a pop, and it’s a sold-out show. Looks like Flynn’s paycheck is set for a while.
But what was below this event announcement on the America’s Future, Inc. webpage was more interesting to me. Below the star-studded gala, in a smaller advertisement, was a posting that made me run a little cold.
America’s Future, Inc. is running a “Presidential Advisory Board”. For an undisclosed sum of money, one can procure:
exclusive quarterly briefings with members of Congress, Senators, Governors, and Lt. Governors
newsletters and invitations to private meetings
and an overnight stay at Mar-a-Lago.
I couldn’t get an answer for how much cash one has to fork over to get the ear of sitting politicians and even the President himself, but I’m willing to bet it’s enough to set up old Flynn for life.
And what better way to build the oligarchy than an outright “pay-to-play” government?
As is the case with much of what’s going on in our current government, there is so much beneath the surface of the squeaky clean not-so-subtly-Aryan grin of Jackson Lane. This isn’t about Jackson Lane, it’s about the enormous forces behind him, the ones that have prepped him and conditioned him and programmed him for exactly this moment.
That baby face is there to help ensure the theocracy takes root, and he’s doing it from right inside the White House.
As promised, here’s a list I’ve saved of pieces here on Substack that are doing a great job examining and covering this regime:
CounterStory Media is working to cover the new regime, examine Executive Orders, and to publish in limited runs The New Papers, a one-page free pamphlet distributed as widely as possible covering the actions of this administration. Telling our stories, like the story of my son, humanizes the nature of these horrific actions by our government’s leaders. If you would like to share your story, as a member of the LGBT community, or as an immigrant or migrant or refugee, please send me a message.

Hello, my friends! I’ve been working like crazy every day last week: speaking live at a local public radio event in my city, laying out and printing another run of The New Papers (message me if you want to distribute), and being a parent to a house full of wonderful young people. Oh, and trying to balance my intake of news and my mental health.
If that’s you too, please remember to take some time and space for yourself when you need it. I’m going to keep on saying: this is a marathon, not a sprint. Pace, pace, pace yourself. Drink water, find a way to meditate, do yoga, or otherwise relieve your stress (axe throwing and rage rooms are also an option, I hear), and as always, be well.

I need to come clean on one of my biases.(Deep Breath, trembling exhale). As soon as I saw the bleached tips & the voluminous amount hair product used in the “righteous” man’s hair I knew he was guilty as fuck. In the future please keep that in mind in an effort to maintain a fair & balanced mindset. Thank you.
Thank you for connecting those dots. I mean there are so many dots. Not sure how anyone has the stomach for connecting them, so thank you.
